Ricardo Galliano Court
Assistant Dean for Academic Integrity, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences
Senior Lecturer, Department of Political Science Ricardo (he/him/his) is a dedicated Italophile, cyclist, petrolhead, journeyman cook, and artistic dabbler, hailing from Los Angeles, California. He works on the language of trust and the culture of trustworthiness in early modern long-distance trade networks; economic history, political theory, & Renaissance Studies. Fun fact: Ricardo is the direct descendant of three Genoese admirals at the Battle of Lepanto, including Erasmo Galliano, ambassador to Charles V, an unnamed knight at the first crusade, and Giovanni Galliano di Nizza, an actual pirate. At least theoretically, Ricardo is a Marquis (though, of a ruin, Castelnovo di Nizza, and what is now a freeway interchange, Priero, both in greater Liguria). 2019-2020 Associated Student Government Faculty Honor Roll Contact: court@northwestern.edu For more information: https://www.polisci.northwestern.edu/people/affiliated-faculty/ricardo-galliano-court.html |
